School fees do not arrive monthly. They arrive four or five times a year, in amounts large enough to matter, and parents meet each one as if it were a surprise. It is not a surprise, the dates are published a year ahead. So the useful thing was not another expense tracker, which shows you what you already spent. EduPlan shows the next twelve months at once, so March is visible in October while there is still time to do something about it. No receipts, no categories, no charts of where the money went. All tempting, all would have turned it into the thing I was trying not to build.
