Ask someone what their vehicle costs per kilometre and they will guess. The real answer is spread across fuel receipts, service bills, insurance, tyres and a dozen small expenses nobody writes down. Vehicost is a ledger that produces one number. The design constraint was that logging a fill-up has to take seconds at the pump, on a phone, with one hand, or nobody logs anything and the number is wrong. Everything else was subordinate to that.
